How LG and Sony Mobiles Failed Us

I had read reports about people having issues with LG and Sony mobile phones, but I wasn't prepared for the extent of issues that would appear when I decided to try out Sony (Xperia Z3 Dual and Z3 Compact) and LG (G4 Dual SIM, V10 Dual SIM) mobile devices.

LG G4 Dual SIM - UAE Model
This story is widely known, my wife's LG G4 went in to a boot loop, one month before the warranty was about to end. LG authorized service center in Sharjah swapped the motherboard in less than ten minutes and we were on our way. However my friend who also went through the same issues, says that his LG G4 has started having issues of slow downs again. Time will tell if these phones last.

LG V10 Dual SIM - Singapore Model - Battery Issues
From the start LG V10 Dual SIM - Singapore Edition, had terrible battery life, I would hold Qualcomm Snapdragon accountable for that poor SoC implementation and I would hold LG accountable for not compensating for its poor battery life with a bigger battery.

LG V10 Dual SIM - Singapore Model - Device failure
Then after using the phone heavily after a full year, it failed while I was using Waze (which was a daily routine). The phone restarted and got stuck on the LG logo.

LG V10 - Battery bloated
I had bought the LG V10 with a spare battery and just after one year both main and spare battery started bloating. Good news keeps on coming.

Sony Xperia Z3 Dual  - UAE Model - Touch Screen Failed
The best part of Sony Xperia Z3 in my case was its UI and operating system rarely slowed down and actually got faster with their updates. However this phone failed me in a different way. After swicthing to the LG V10, this was

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact - UAE Model - Occasional Touch Screen Failure
After two years of regular use Sony Xperia Z3 Compact's touch becomes no response partially or fully randomly.

Conclusion
These are personal accounts of my four phones bought from my own hard earned money, how can manufactures justify such poor quality control with their flagship phones. Their poor commitment to quality is being rewarded by their abysmal market share levels and financial losses.

Summary of Issues
1. LG G4 Dual SIM - Motherboard failed - Boot loop.
2. LG V10 Dual SIM - Motherboard failed - Stuck on LG logo at startup, not boot loop.
3. LG V10 batteries - Both batteries bloated.
4. Sony Xperia Z3 Dual - Touch screen failed.
5. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact - Occasional Touch Screen Failure
